Welcome
"Quitting smoking is easy, I've done it lots of times." Mark Twain
Are you ready to quit smoking? If you are honestly wanting to quit, I will show you how to do it. You will quit without any hassles, without gum, without prescriptions, without patches, and without gaining any weight. Your nerves will be calm. And best of all, it's easy and you only have to do it once.
The one thing that will be different for most of you is that you will have to do a little arithmetic. It's nothing complicated, just basic arithmetic. You may also be wondering why I am so confident that this works. Let me explain. I believe that smoking is not an addiction, but is based in habit. By gradually breaking the habits, we stop smoking. Sceptical? So, what! It's free, so what do you have to lose? Let's get started!
Step 1 is simple. Over the next 3 to 5 days, keep a close count of how many cigarettes you smoke each day. Don't change any behavior. Don't try to smoke less or more. Just keep an accurate count.
Step 2 is also simple. Figure out how many minutes (on average) you are awake each day. For instance, if you are awake 16 hours a day, then you are awake 940 minutes a day.
16 hours x 60 minutes = 940 minutes
Step 3 is also easy. And, this will be the beginning of the change. Let's say, as an example, the you are a heavy smoker and smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day. 40 cigarettes. Now divide the 40 cigarettes (or whatever you smoke) into the minutes you are awake. In our example, it's as follows:
940 minutes/40 cigarettes = 24 minutes Now instead of smoking the way you usually do, you are going to smoke a cigarette every 24 minutes. If for some reason you cannot smoke at that time it's due, then smoke as soon as you are able to do so. Start the next 24 minutes from there. Don't light up at your usual times (ie. with a cup of coffee, picking up the phone, hanging up the phone, walking outside, or whatever your habits happen to be). You can smoke this way for one or two days.
Step 4 continues to be easy. Today, and from now on, you start to cut back on smoking. Reduce your smoking for the day by 4 cigarettes.
940 minutes/36 cigarettes = 26 minutes Each day, or 2 days if you prefer, cut your smoking by 4 cigarettes. When you are down to 4 cigarettes a day, you can stop for good. At this point, all of the bad habits, regarding smoking, are gone. You will not be nervous, you won't gain weight, you'll save quite a bit of money, and your health will improve. I'd say good luck, but luck has nothing to do with it. This system works and it's free. It's also a simple example of how coaching works to change your life both personally and professionally.
